
Paul’s primary emphasis is commercial and employment litigation. He has practiced law for over 23 years and his practice extends throughout the United States. Paul has tried cases to juries from Alaska to West Virginia. He has tried cases involving commercial contracts, sexual harassment claims, whistle-blower allegations, securities-fraud issues, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, trade secrets violations, and many kinds of employment discrimination claims, including gender, disability, national origin, retaliation and age discrimination claims.
Paul has defended hundreds of discrimination and commercial lawsuits in state and federal courts. He also handles cases involving restrictive covenants, cases involving breach of fiduciary duties, and employment contract cases.
As a former prosecutor, Paul has also tried many different kinds of criminal cases, ranging from simple misdemeanors to murder cases.
In the past several years, Paul has been hired to represent several different law firms in the Midwest to handle their litigation matters. He has also served as a mediator and arbitrator for many different kinds of employment litigation and commercial litigation cases.

Paul is a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars, and has spoken on a variety of topics such as voir dire, opening statements, cross-examination, deposition techniques, and contract negotiation strategies.
During his 23 year career, Paul has been published extensively on litigation topics. While working his way through college, Paul served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1981-1985.
